Choiceocracy
Choiceocracy is a presidential performance for a performance based presidency. It is my attempt to run for President of the United States of America in order to save humanity from it's downward spiral. I'll be running on a direct democracy platform called the Choiceocracy campaign which is the campaign to end all campaigns. For more information please visit the website I've dedicated to this performance that will last until 2020.

Self-Love Savior
Self-Love Savior is a performance I've done repeatedly and most recently adapted for the space at the Dance Loft. It was first performed as a merging of how my friend Eames Armstrong and I viewed love. I took to heart what I had learned at the time from Stuff You Should Know that kissing in general releases endorphins for yourself and so it is a way of giving love to oneself. Next it was performed with Emma Jane Goodman who was inspired by my self-love and would help me when I couldn't quite reach the parts that needed love the most.
This most recent performance was done on the day with the most pressure for kissing someone, anyone, or anything which was New Year's Eve. I was thankful that I could perform this piece at the Dance Loft where fellow performance artist, Katie Macyshynrecorded video and fellow photographer Corrie documented. Here I was in "the fishbowl" as they call it which is a room with a mirrored wall and surrounded by glass. The DC acro-yoga friends were next to us and the crowd from the dance floor came to fill up the glass panels before me. I started under the guise of darkness and then like a seed that's finally found the light was able to sprout up and save myself. Through the help of lipstick and the audience I was able to distract myself from the fact I had no one to kiss but myself. You see, I've been in a long distance relationship since August 16th 2015 and I haven't been able to meet my boyfriend who happens to be the most beautiful boy in the world because he is in Brazil. This rendition of the performance was definitely dedicated to Renan Rodriques and may 2018 be our year to finally meet.

FFLA @ Bennet park
FFLA is a word exercise invented by Renee and performed during a durational night of performance with several other artists. The object of the game is to stop making sense and stop the boundaries and stones from forming to block the paths to the true words that want to arise from the created sentence and language. The humor is in what is false and what is such a twisted arrangement that it sounds true once more.

Adult ACTIONS
It was as if it happened at once the expectations overwhelmed with a need to be fulfilled daily and the adult actions had to be carried out repeatedly to get to the next level of life. It is a loop of chores from the lists in the back of our minds that make us stop and start with the same motions until we can't move anymore. We must take a break to reflect on why it is we must adult up in the first place and whether or not it needs to be done in private for it to count.
Performances done at O St. Art Studios and at H St. Festival in 2013

SCOTCH ACROSS
Craving the craziness that stews under the tape of a thousand rolls while you hop scotch across DC to the sound of your own drum. A madness so mellow it only shakes he antennae of the ants in the cellar. The colorful cringing of companionship lost in translation when the face and body are just filled with a goop in a shell of a human.
